La Lucciola Arancione (Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Doc Classico) is a pure Verdicchio from vineyards located in Staffolo (AN), facing south-west, at an altitude of 350 meters, on tuffaceous, sandy, and calcium-rich soils. Guyot farming. The production of grapes per hectare is 90 q. After the harvest, in the first ten days of September, done rigorously by hand as per tradition, only the best grapes are selected. We then proceed to the vinification: destemming, soft pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Aging in steel for 4 months which improves further in the bottle before being sold.
La Lucciola Arancione has a lively straw yellow color with greenish hues; the nose perceives citrus, miller fruit, and flowers. In the mouth, it has a dry, fresh and refreshing sip of citrus fruits with elegant mineral notes on the finish. It goes well with appetizers, delicate first courses, and all fish-based dishes.
