La Cavalletta Gialla

La Cavalletta Gialla (Sangiovese Marche IGT 2019) is a pure Sangiovese from vineyards located in Mogliano (MC), facing south, at an altitude of 200 meters on sandy-calcareous soils. Spurred cordon farming. In the first ten days of July, a thinning is done and the production of grapes per hectare is 70 q. After the harvest, at the end of September, rigorously done by hand as per tradition, only the best grapes are selected. We then proceed to the separate vinification by grape variety: destemming, soft pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is blended and aged in French barriques for 12 months and further refined in the bottle before being sold.

The taste

La Cavalletta Gialla has a ruby red color with garnet reflections; a floral nose of rose and violet, currant, cherry, and notes of light sweet spice. In the mouth, it results in a pleasant drinking experience and the crunchiness of the fruit emerges. It goes well with meat first courses, cheeses, and red or game meat dishes.

Spurred cordon farming. In the first ten days of July, a thinning is done and the production of grapes per hectare is 70q for Montepulciano and 35q for Sagrantino. After the harvest, in the second ten days of October, done rigorously by hand as per tradition, only the best grapes are selected. We then proceed to the separate vinification by grape variety: destemming, soft pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is blended and aged in French barriques for 12 months and further refined in the bottle before being sold.

    The taste

Il Porcospino Lilla has an intense ruby red color with purple reflections; the nose perceives fruit prevailing, with aromas of ripe berries and light notes of vanilla, tobacco, and dark spices. In the mouth, it has a good body, balance, freshness, fine tannins, and fruity length. It goes well with aged cheeses as well as succulent red or game meat mains.
