    La Civetta Rossa (Marche Rosso IGT 2019) is produced exclusively with Montepulciano grapes from vineyards located in Mogliano (MC), facing south, at an altitude of 200 meters on sandy-limestone soils. Spurred cordon farming. In the first ten days of July, a thinning is done and the production of grapes per hectare stands on average at 70 q. After the harvest, at the end of September, or beginning of October, done rigorously by hand as per tradition, only the best grapes are selected. We then proceed to the vinification: destemming, soft pressing, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is blended and aged in French barriques for 12 months and further refined in the bottle before being sold.

    The taste

    La Civetta Rossa has an intense ruby red colour; the nose perceives cyclamen, wisteria, and black cherry with notes of wood and spice of green pepper, and hints of rosemary. In the mouth, its structure and creamy tannic texture emerge. The finish recalls the roasting of the coffee. It goes well with aged cheeses as well as succulent red or game meat mains.

    La Rana Chiazzata (Rosso Piceno DOC 2021) is a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese from vineyards located in Mogliano (MC), facing south, at an altitude of 200 meters on sandy-limestone soils. Spurred cordon farming. In the first ten days of July, a thinning is done and the production of grapes per hectare is 70 q for Montepulciano and Sangiovese.     The taste

    La Rana Chiazzata has a ruby red color with purple reflections; the nose perceives cherry, blackberry, plum, green pepper, and undergrowth of moss and fern. In the mouth, it has a fresh and decisive sip. Tart finish. It goes well with full-bodied first courses, semi-mature cheeses, and red or game meat mains.
